Hay poca bibliografía científica en castellano sobre los parásitos del ganado y su control. El dominio del inglés es aplastante, seguido de lejos por el alemán, el francés y el castellano, por este orden. Por lo tanto he decidido incluir documentos en estas cuatro lenguas y que sea el usuario quien elija lo que le es de utilidad.

Es también obvio que a una persona individual le resulta imposible leer todo lo que se ha publicado y publica en el mundo sobre este tema. La selección que ofrezco aquí es evidentemente subjetiva: lo más útil, o completo, o significativo de lo que ha pasado por mis manos.

Todos los libros, manuales y monografías sufren de la misma deficiencia: al poco de publicados se quedan anticuados, sobre todo en lo que se refiere a los métodos de control y los antiparasitarios químicos. No obstante, la información sobre la biología de los parásitos sí que permanece actual, aunque con el paso del tiempo la investigación vaya añadiendo conocimientos: rara vez contradicen lo que ya se sabía.

No todos los manuales y monografías mencionados están fácilmente disponibles. El recurso a bibliotecas públicas o universitarias especializadas será a menudo inevitable. No se incluyen aquí sitios internet especializados porque aparecen como desaparecen, y los que sobreviven cambian a menudo de dirección, etc.

He dividido la bibliografía en:

  • Manuales y monografías: una selección de documentos varios (manuales, monografías, etc.) de posible interés, según lo que busque el lector.
  • Artículos científicos: una selección de artículos de revistas científicas sobre temas varios relativos a la biología y el control de los parásitos más importantes del ganado, caballos y mascotas. Como este sitio no se dirige primordialmente a especialistas e investigadores, he omitido los artículos más especializados y la inmensa mayoría de reportes de estudios clínicos sobre la eficacia de tal o cual antiparasitario contra algún parásito: son millares y no aportarían mucho.

Es mi deseo mantener esta bibliografía al día e ir incluyendo nuevos artículos y pubicaciones de especial interés o utilidad, a medida que vayan saliendo. También es mi propósito actualizar el contenido de los artículos de este sitio según los hallazgos más recientes publicados en revistas científicas. Pido ya disculpas de antemano por posibles omisiones o retrasos.
